Beach house on Garden Island in Fiji
Also known as Garden Island, Taveuni is the third largest island in Fiji with a total land area of approximately 170 square smiles.
This tropical volcanic island is not only a popular tourist destination, but is also known for its rare flower, the Tagimoucia, which is found nowhere else in the world. Among the many activities available on this beautiful, lush island are hiking, scuba diving, waterfalls, golf, tennis, and unique birding.
Land
The Fijian property market in Taveuni is booming with over 4,000 acres of land up for grabs. Freehold lots on taveuni estates range from half an acre to just over an acre. Each lot is reached by paved roads and is served with clean mineral mountain water. These lots for sale range in elevation from beach to mountaintop and the property layout is finished in such a way as to optimize privacy and ocean views from each home location.
Pacific Island Waterfront Lots
From exclusive seaside locations to clifftop views, investors are guaranteed to get their own personal slice of the Taveuni Estates coastline with restricted public access.
Each of these oceanfront lots has native flowering trees, exotic foliage, and magnificent coconut palms.
central central lots
Very close to the Country Club and the golf course. These lots have ocean views and are perfect for the physically active and health conscious resident.
mid-level residential lots
These lots were once a large copra plantation with coconut palms growing abundantly in the wild. Potential buyers of these lots have avocado, citrus, mango, and guava trees literally waiting for them in their backyard. The ocean views are magnificent.
Mountain Retreat Lots
The most amazing wildlife can be found here. Located on low slopes overlooking the bay, these lots have the most incredible view of the Pacific Ocean.
Transport
Bus services on the island of Taveuni are from Monday to Sunday. They are somewhat unpredictable and taxi fares can be quite expensive. Minibus trips do not follow routines, but operate on a charter basis per person.
Get there
Whether by boat or plane, Taveuni is fully accessible through its two ports of entry. The airport located at Matei in the north is served daily by Fiji Link from Savusavu and Nadi. The “Lomaiviti Princess” ferry docks four times a week from Taveuni to Suva, via Koro and Savusavu.
