The Alamodome in San Antonio opened on May 15, 1993, and although it is a multi-use facility, it was known as the home of the San Antonio Spurs until they moved to the AT&T Center after the 2001-02 season. They played a total of nine seasons at the $186 million facility. The stadium seats about 20,600 people in its arena configuration, but the seating can be expanded to accommodate up to 36,500 spectators. The Alamodome includes 38 luxury suites and 6,000 seats on the club level. The only professional sports team in San Antonio are these Spurs.
