How to detect a user

Do you want to detect a user and know if you are just some kind of “tool” for a person? Do you want to prevent people from just using you when they need something and then running away when you need it? Are you tired of being used? So have some respect for yourself and take credit for what you’re worth. You should know that these people have no right to play games with you and use you for their own selfish reasons. Whoever it is, a guy you’re dating or a friend who always seems to have a favor to ask of you, has no right to push you, because you should be your own boss. Here are some ways to detect a user:

Watch how they talk to you.

If they start every conversation with compliments about you and end up asking you for tons and tons of favors, then let go because he’s back on a roll. You may not have noticed it before, but now that I think about it, their compliments weren’t entirely sincere, they just let you think that you’re the most amazing person they know and would do anything for them.

Watch how they listen to you.

Talk to them for a while and then ask them about what you said; you’d be lucky if they could remember at least half of what you said. Users like to talk about themselves too much, but they are very bad listeners. They would come up to you with all the luggage in the trunk and expect you to take them all so they can have someone to share the weight with. But when it’s your turn to listen, they’re almost too deaf to hear. These are just a few signs you might look for to spot a user.

They seem indifferent, tired, or too sad to help you.

Again, they’re only good at taking from other people, but when it’s their turn to help, they fall back and seem helpless. You would think twice before sharing your baggage with them because they seem too weak to handle your problems, while you spend your time carrying half of theirs.
