used golf balls

Used golf balls are also called recycled golf balls, experienced golf balls, salvaged golf balls, or discount golf balls. The benefit of a used golf ball is, of course, its price. They typically find themselves saving sixty to eighty percent off the retail price. There are different types of used golf balls that are categorized based on the use of the golf ball.

Mint quality used golf balls have the experience and feel of a ball that has been hit just once. This type of used golf ball is commonly known as a one hitter or one-hit wonder. These balls have a consistent color and brilliant shine and work just like they would right out of the box. The following is grade A quality used golf ball; These are balls that have just lost their mint condition, but still look like a brand new golf ball. These balls are perfect for any handicap level golfer as they perform as you would expect from your chosen golf brand. There may be small player pen marks and very, very small scratches on the surface of the golf ball. The next grade is grade B used golf balls which are bright white with a small mark or faded to the print and minor scuffs from the first owner. The balls are almost perfect to play and are best for beginner or high handicap golfers or a golf course that has many hazards.

Next in line is the Grade C used golf ball which is great for practice or that long shot over the water hazard. There may be moderately sized game pen marks and small to moderate scuffs or scratches. However, they are clean and playable with signs of use. There are also golf ball companies that supply refurbished golf balls that are processed by pickling, stamping, painting or clear coating the golf ball. Like used golf balls, these golf balls are not endorsed by the original manufacturer and therefore are not covered under warranty. There are also premium used golf balls for those who enjoy driving the golf ball out of reach. These are generally called range golf balls.
